Ohio Advocates
for Health Care Access met April 21, 2004 at the YWCA in Columbus.
The meeting theme was "Trends in Charitable
Health Care in Columbus." Our speakers included:
- Don
Osuga and Rose Wilcox from the
Ohio Dept. of Health
Don and Rose provided an update on the state's Healthy Communities
Access Program (http://www.capcommunity.hrsa.gov/Home/ohio.htm).
- Jan
Ruma from CareNet in Toledo
Jan provided an overview of the CareNet system of organized
charitable care in the Toledo area.
- Jeff
Biehl from Access HealthColumbus
Jeff provided an overview of the Access HealthColumbus system
of organized charitable care in the Columbus area.
- Amy
Rohling from the Ohio Association of Free Clinics
Amy discussed the mission of this organization and its agenda
to improve access to care.
